The Swedish premier football championship, Allsvenskan, resumed last weekend after the Euro finals break.

Nigeria’s John Owoeri struck twice as BK Hacken beat Hammarby 4-2 at home on Saturday. The striker pounced in the 37th minute and added another in the 63rd in this win that gave Hacken 19 points from 13 games and a 7th place on the Allsvenskan table.

Gambian winger Demba Savage was also on the winning side the same day. He hit the back of the net three minutes into extra time to put the final nail into the coffin of Hammarby.

Hakeen Araba of Nigerian heritage grabbed the match winner as Falkenberg dismissed Gefle 2-1 in a battle at the bottom of the table.

Gothenburg, now at third place, maintained its title ambitions with a 4-1 thrashing of GIF Sundsvall on Sunday. Gambian international Pa Amat Dibba scored the lone consolation goal for Sundsvall.
