African players on target in Swedish football league

African players were on the scoring cards in the 17th round of the Swedish football premiership, Allsvenskan.

Nigerian Moses Ogbu scored in the 65th minute to level for Sirius in a 3-2 victory over IFK Gothenburg while Kenyan Eric Omondi provided the lone goal for relegation-threatened Brommapojkarna in a 1-0 win over Orebro.

Hacken collected a huge 5-0 win over Djurgarden with Ghanaian striker Nasiru Mohammed on target twice. Nigeria’s Elohor Ekpolo set up Mohammed’s first goal.

Ghanaian defender Patrick Kpozo played a pivotal part in 3rd placed Ostersunds’ 2-0 dismissal of Kalmar. He set up the match opener in the 88th minute and added the second three minutes later in extra time while AIK remained at the top of the table after pipping Elfsborg 1-0 from a goal scored by Eritrean international Henok Goitom.

Liberian-born striker Peter Wilson and Maic Sema of DR Congo extraction scored one apiece as Sundsvall trounced Trelleborg 6-1.

In the lower rank, Superettan, Ghanaian attacker Mamudo Moro scored for league leaders Helsingborg in the 62nd minute of a 4-3 win over Örgryte.
