Sabina Ddumba to perform at Borås music concert

The annual free music concerts styled Summer Thursdays (sommartorsdagarna) kick off this Thursday in the Swedish city of Borås with Ugandan-Swedish singer Sabina Ddumba on stage.

Ddumba, 23, is one of Sweden’s popular singers with 2015 hits like ‘Effortless’ and ‘Not Too Young’ and her album Homeward Bound released last year.
 
Her music is reportedly influenced by Ugandan nursery rhymes and songs she heard while a kid living in Uganda, soul, gospel and rhythm and blues.

Living Gospel is Borås biggest gospel choir


Summer Thursdays is an extravangza of seven free concerts and is one of Borås popular summer events, drawing a crowd of thousands weekly.
 
Partying starts at 18:00 with entertainment for kids which will be followed by a competition at 19:00 and then a session by Living Gospel, Borås’ biggest gospel choir at 20:00. Ddumba takes to the stage at 21:00.
