It was a quiet weekend for African strikers in the second round of the Swedish Cup, the country’s second most important football competition.

Only three goals were seen in a host of matches played nation-wide.

Nigerian star Kennedy Igboananike was on target again for the second match in a row in the competition which comprises teams from the premiership and the two lower tiers. He rescued a point for Orebro grabbing an added time goal against Helsingborg. The match ended 1-1.

Hammarby and Gias played to another draw- a one-all affair in which Gambian frontman Pa Amat Dibba got a 73rd minute goal.

Tunisian Issam Jebali printed his name on the score sheet when he provided the last goal in Elfsborg’s 4-0 trashing of Vasalund.
