Football: African goal scorers in Swedish Cup
African goal scorers were in the thick of action over the weekend in the Swedish Cup, the second most important football tournament in the country.
Gambian youngster Alexander Jallow was on the score sheet again on Saturday when his lone strike in the 30th minute proved enough for Jonkoping to pip Norrby 1-0 while Eritrean international Henok Goitom scored with five minutes remaining as AIK beat Orgryte 1-0 at home.
Norrkoping and Ekilstuna settled to a 1-1 affair with Nigerian forward Samuel Nnamani grabbing the match opener in the 38th minute.
Ivorian Christian Kouakou scored in Brage 4-2 demolition of Rosengård while Ghanaian striker Sadat Karim continued as fine form at his new club Halmstad when he struck in the 41st minute to in a 1-1 draw against Karlstad. Another Ghanaian, Abdul Hudu scored after 58 minutes as Frej demolished Hassleholms IF 7-0.
