Eritrean striker Henok Goitom was on the score sheet twice as undefeated league leaders AIK powered to a 2-0 win over strugglers Brommapojkarna in the 18th round of Sweden’s premier football championship, Allsvenkan last weekend.

Goitom scored his 7th and 8th goal of the season through a header in the 45th minute and a tap-in early in the second half to maintain AIK’s slim two-point lead ahead of Hammarby in the fight for the title.

The AIK skipper has scored in the club’s last four matches and, in fact, has scored all of its four goals in the last three outings.

At 10th place, IFK Gothenburg is struggling but Vajebah Sakor of Liberian ancestry, who also holds Norwegian citizenship, scored in added time in the first half in a 2-1 victory over 4th-placed Ostersunds for three valuable points.

In the lower tier, Superettan, Eskilstuna, 3rd on the table, pipped Jonkoping Sodra 1-0 to keep up the heat at the top thanks to a late strike from Nigerian attacker Onyedikachuwu Nnamani.
