Liberians in Sweden urged to fulfill financial obligations

LSA President David Ford

Members of the Liberian Swedish Association (LSA) have been encouraged to fulfill their financial obligations to the outfit to keep it afloat.

The call was made by LSA President David Ford during a monthly meeting held via Zoom on Saturday, May 1.

He spoke about the unwillingness of members to pay their monthly dues and that this was having a negative impact on the smooth operations of the association as other sources of income have dried up due to the restrictions of the global Covid 19 pandemic.

Other members in the meeting expressed similar concerns.

Another important topic touched during the meeting was the holding of elections for a new set of leaders as the mandate of the present leadership is soon to be over.

It was decided that constitutional and other issues must be sorted out before elections are held.
