LSA official celebrates 60th birthday in Stockholm

Surrounded by family, friends and well wishers, Winifred Nicol Sandy celebrated her 60th birthday on January 18 in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden

Mrs. Sandy had actually turned 60 on December 31, 2019 but threw a grand party last Saturday.

The party brought together several Liberians, Sierra Leoneans, Nigerians and others from different communities.

The celebrant is an outstanding woman both within the LSA community and beyond.

She is described as someone full of love – a devoted mother, wife and a kind-hearted and God-fearing person.

Additionally, she is heavily involved in the Liberian community in the north European country.

Mrs Sandy serves as secretary general of the Liberian Swedish Association (LSA).

She opens her home to those in need. Because of her kindness in and outside of the community, Mrs Sandy was recognized and honored last year by the LSA as one of the outstanding mothers.

Saturday’s party was a joyous occasion during which her family, friends and others showered gifts on her, delicious food and drinks served, with music provided by DJ Sporting and DJ Chuck.

Her children made exceptional remarks to show their love and appreciation.

LSA President David Ford, Vice President Koo Y. Joseph and other officials and members graced the occasion.

Also in attendance was the association’s former president and vice president respectively Francis Mensah and Glady T. Nwah.

Officials and members of the the Sierra Leone Union of Sweden, led by its president Jimmy Saccoh, also came out to celebrate with Mrs. Sandy.
