Obasi scores twice in return to Swedish football league

Nigerian striker Chinedu Obasi celebrated his return to Sweden by scoring twice and providing an assist as 2nd-placed AIK whipped Sirius 4-1 in an 18th round match of the country’s top football championship.
 
Obasi, who re-joined AIK during the summer after a stint in China, raised the curtains with a 7th minute penalty and added his second 30 minutes later. He then set up Eritrean hitman Henok Goitom for AIK’s fourth goal in the 65th minute.
 
Another two-goal hero was Tunisian forward Issam Jebali who scored two second half goals for Elfsborg in a 2-2 draw against Orebro.
 
Ivorian midfielder Aboubakar Keita also had a memorable debut in the Swedish premieriship when he scored a 70th minute goal in Halmstad’s 6-1 trouncing of Jonkoping. Keita is on loan from Danish side FC Copenhagen.
