General Buhari is seeking the Nigerian Presidency in elections slated for next year

I was one of the most happiest person when General Muhammed Buhari (GMB) declared to his interest to be elected the President of Nigeria in 2015. I still remember vividly when he lost the presidential election in 2011 against President Goodluck Jonathan, he wept bitterly and said that could be his last election in Nigeria. But as Allah wants it, he changesd mind against all odds to run for the highest office of our country, Nigeria after the talakawas begged him to do so. He still needs to clinch the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC), though.
When I read through a few Nigerian newspapers the other day,  I read that GMB wanted to pick his nomination form from the APC headquarters without 27.5 million naira until his bank gave him loan before he could pay for the nomination form. And the General said ordinarily and normally he always pays for his nomination form. I wept that we as a people, still have people who are very honest in Nigeria. I tried to read some of the commentaries, it was through these commentaries that  I am hopeful. Most of the commentators said he should publish his account number, promising to finance his ambition to become the president of Nigeria in 2015. This is very encouraging!

My dream is that may Allah continue to give GMB good health so that he can accomplish this. I see his combination with Lagos state governor as his Vice President candidate. With this, I believe that this will give a surprise election in Nigeria. People believe that Raji Fashola (SAN) will even make his chance more clearer to win this forth coming election because of his popularity in Nigeria after a good performance in Lagos state.

Religion? Muslim-Christian, Christian-Muslim, Muslim-Muslim and Christian-Christian. Good governance or administration that matters not religion. I beg to be convinced. It is fresh in mind when Bashorun Mashood Kasimawo Abiola picked Baba Kingibe as running mate against Bashir Tofa. Nobody expected them to win the best election being won by muslim-muslim. It was the best election conducted in Nigeria. As a Yorubaman in the west where I grew up,  religion does not have anything to do with effective administration that wears human face: honest, provide work, good health services, provide electricity and water, educate the masses in best manner, food on the table, good sanitation, good transport management, create unity amongst the generality of Nigerian people, fight corruption in all its ramifications etc. That is good governance which all religions preach.
