Nigerian striker John Owoeri scored twice on Sunday as his side BK Hacken beat IF Elfsborg 4-2 away in the Swedish football championship.

The strikes took the Nigerian’s tally to eight goals this season, making him the leading African scorer in the country’s premier football league.

Owoeri grabbed an early equalizer in the 13th minute after Elfsborg had stunned the visitors with a Simon Hedlum goal in the 3rd minute. He scored his second for the day after 26 minutes.

Sierra Leonean Alhassan Kamara sealed the win netting Hacken’s 4th goal in the 75th minute. The victory pushed Hacken to 5th place with 27 points after 17 matches. Malmo tops the table with 38 points.
