Liberian international winger Sylvanus Nimely has added another major accomplishment to his professional football career after helping Neftchi Fergana clinch the Uzbekistan Super League title with a dominant 4–1 victory over Qizilqum on the penultimate matchday of the season.

The win secured Neftchi’s position at the top of the table, completing a remarkable campaign and marking a historic moment for both the club and the 27-year-old Liberian star.

Nimely, who has been in impressive form throughout the season, played a key role in Neftchi’s attacking setup, contributing speed, creativity, and an aggressive forward presence that has made him a fan favorite in Fergana.

This latest triumph becomes the second major trophy of Nimely’s career. His first came during his spell with Russian giants Spartak Moscow, where he lifted the 2017/18 Russian Super Cup.

Winning a top-flight championship in Uzbekistan further strengthens his profile as one of Liberia’s most successful football exports in recent years.

Nimely’s achievement has sparked widespread celebration among Liberian football fans, with many praising his dedication, professionalism and resilience on his journey through European and Asian football.

His success adds to the growing list of Liberian players making significant contributions across global leagues, bringing pride and positive visibility to the nation on the international football stage.

As Neftchi Fergana prepares to represent Uzbekistan in continental competitions next season, Nimely is expected to remain a central figure in the squad’s ambitions.
